Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales fund RECOOP to develop further its work in mental health

Friday, April 8th 2011

A three year grant from the Lloyds TSB Foundation means that Liz Ropschitz can focus her experience in the mental health field for the benefit of the older prison population and ex-offenders.

Good practice will be shared and will be highlighted on this website. Over the three year period we will aim to:

  • Identify mental health problems related to older offenders and develop and manage appropriate service delivery
  • Work with partners to improve support and awareness of the needs of prisoners with mental health problems
  • Pilot innovative measures to support prisoners with dementia and Alzheimer’s
  • Identify measures and throughcare to improve resettlement prospects
  • Undertake external evaluation that can be used for policy development and project improvement and for dissemination nationally

Further updates on the project, which gets started in May, will be published here.
